Why there is no contact form
A contact form collects personal data: it needs somewhere to send the message, which means a script, a destination, and usually a spam-protection service loaded from somebody else’s domain. This site promises that it collects nothing and loads nothing from anywhere else, and a form would break that promise. Email and post do the same job without it, and leave you in control of what you disclose and to whom.
What to write to us about
Corrections
This is the most useful mail we receive. If something on this site is wrong, tell us — ideally with the page address and the source that shows the error. We check it against the primary source, normally within five working days, correct the text in place, record the change in a dated corrections log at the foot of the article, and write back to tell you what we did. Anyone may report an error: readers, vendors, competitors. The full procedure is in the editorial policy.
Questions about our independence or funding
How this site is paid for is set out in full in the editorial policy, and diagrammed on the guide itself. If anything there is unclear, or you think a disclosure is missing or insufficiently prominent, we would like to know.
Data protection requests
Durimenko s.r.o. is the data controller for this website. Requests under the GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection — go to the address above and are answered within one month. Please note that this site collects no personal data from visitors, so for an ordinary visit there is genuinely nothing for us to produce or delete. See the privacy policy.
Press, rights and permissions
Requests to reproduce our text or our original diagrams beyond short quotation, and any other rights enquiry, go to the same address.
What we cannot help with
We are an independent publisher, not a vendor and not a reseller. We cannot look up or reset a licence key, process an order, cancel a subscription, stop an automatic renewal, issue a refund, or provide technical support for any product discussed on this site. Nothing is sold here and we have no access to any vendor’s customer systems.
For anything concerning a purchase, contact the company you actually bought from — the vendor if you bought directly, or the reseller or app store if you did not. For Avast products, that is Avast’s own support, reachable from support.avast.com.
Response times and languages
This site is run by a small team. Correspondence is normally answered within five working days; statutory data protection requests within the one-month period the GDPR allows, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you. We correspond in English and in Czech.
